Ambriel isn't rubbing me right. As we walked through the village and
talked about Amber she let just a few things slip. I don't think she
realized what she was doing. I am starting to suspect that while she
might be the daughter of Martin, I'm starting to think the rest of her
story might not check out. I don't like people who deceive me, so I'm
going to keep an eye on her to see what she's up to. The king seems to
let all children of Amber in, and for this I find him weak and
foolish. If anything, based on what I've read of past Amber histories,
the king should greet all the lost children with a sword in hand and a
swift exile far away.

The past few days have passed slowly with me. Oh so ever able Delilah has
made connections with the latest crime lord. We are in the process of
securing a safe house in town. As I gain more money I will secure several
of these. Some will be more public, so whoever is following me keeps
their eyes on the public places. I know how to blend into the shadows and
will keep those for when I need to hide.

For now, I'll just sit back, watch what is going on in Amber and with
Ambriel and slowly work my way in the seamier side of Amber society.
