The woman who stares back at you is tall, three or four inches short of six feet, and you would fix her age in the late twenties. A lovely woman despite the cold look on her face, with lips drawn in a thin line and blue eyes hard in concentration. Long blond hair has been braided and fixed so it hangs out of the way at shoulder-length. Her green skirt is divided for riding, and her grey blouse is cut in a conservative fashion, though the ornate detailing in green at the collar and sleeves pay some respect to vanity. In her hand is a longbow that seems to be made of silver, and a quiver containing 8 silver arrows hangs at her left hip. A silvered hunter's horn rests opposite it, above the rather plainly-wrought hilt of her rapier. She wears it all too comfortably, you note thoughtfully. Looking more closely, you notice the simple silver band gracing her left hand. The fingers of the right are guarded in worn leather, a bracer tied securely over the forearm. A silver crescent buckle secures a broad leather belt from which depend several small pouches. Behind her, a grey horse bearing a light saddle waits. She can be of help, you muse, if approached with care. Still, she will not serve your present need, and her card joins the others set aside for another day...
